Fiber Seed Sprout Sock Cowl

Fiber Seed Sprout Sock Cowl

Happy Spring!! I’m excited to move to lighter knits and this gorgeous cowl scarf is the perfect weight. Even better, it’s a great one skein pattern knit in stockinette. The beautifully hand-dyed yarn does all the work as the colors blend and pool. It’s worth noting that because the yarn is hand-dyed every skein is different, so the way the colors pool will be different. The finished scarf measures approximately 8 inches across by 33 inches around.

I bought the yarn from a local yarn shop in the Pike Place Market and the pattern was free with purchase of the yarn. The yarn is Fiber Seed Sprout Sock, which is 90% Washable Merino Wool and 10% Nylon and comes in extraordinarily beautiful colorways. The colorway I used is called Peacock. The only tricky parts are the provisional cast on and kitchner bind off, but if that isn’t your thing, you could probably join the scarf using whatever method you are comfortable with.

Happy knitting!
